The Electoral System of Ghana
NB:
Ghana employs transparent vote-counting methods to ensure credible polls. The Electoral Commission, as per Article 46 of the 1992 Constitution, operates independently without external control, except as stipulated by the constitution or consistent laws, safeguarding the integrity and autonomy of the electoral process in performing its functions.

Voting by Proxy

- Voting in person is preferred, but if that’s not possible, proxy voting lets you appoint someone else to vote on your behalf. You must apply to the returning officer for a proxy vote.
Special Voting

If you’re an election worker (e.g., security, media, or Electoral Commission staff), you can vote early, but only for general elections.
