Mpohor/Wassa East District
Mpohor/Wassa East District

The Mpohor/Wassa East District, located in Ghana's Western Region, was originally established in 1988 from the former Wassa-Fiase-Mpohor District Council. On June 28, 2012, it was divided into two districts: Wassa East District, with Daboase as its capital, and Mpohor District, with Mpohor as its capital.

Wassa East District:

The district assembly is located in the eastern part of Western Region and has Daboase as its capital town.

Wassa-Fiase-Mpohor District:

The Wassa-Fiase-Mpohor District Council, located in Ghana's Western Region, was established in 1975. In 1988, it was divided into two new districts: Wassa West District, with Tarkwa as its capital, and Mpohor/Wassa East District, with Daboase as its capital. The former district was situated in the eastern part of the Western Region, with Tarkwa serving as its capital.
